TEN YEARS AGO: Donington pupils mark end of work on Vikings
History came to life for youngsters at Donington Cowley Endowed Primary School 10 years ago.

To round off their studies of the Vikings, Year Two pupils had a day of activities inspired by the Scandinavian seafaring warriors of a millennia ago.
Youngsters donned homemade costumes, examined artefacts, made rune tablets and also enjoyed a period banquet.
