TEN YEARS AGO: Non uniform day at Skegness school raises hundreds for Haiti
A non uniform day at Skegness Grammar School raised hundreds of pounds for earthquake relief in Haiti 10 years ago.
Pupils are pictured presenting Rotarian Simon York with more than £500 following the effort.
The cash would go towards the cost of providing a ‘shelter box’ containing life-saving equipment for the people of Haiti following a devastating earthquake at the start of the year.
Mr York also spoke to the students about his visit to the country as part of a Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue specialist recovery team.
