TEN YEARS AGO: Youngsters tour lifeboat station as ‘thank you’ for bag-packing fundraiser
Here, we see the 1st Burgh le Marsh Cub Scouts being treated to tour of Skegness’ RNLI lifeboat station 10 years ago.
The visit formed part of a ‘thank you’ from the RNLI to the youngsters after they raised £272 for the cause through a charity bag-packing session at Wilkinsons.
Cub Scout leader Mick Holiday said: “They thoroughly enjoyed their visit. The crew showed them round and took them inside the big lifeboat - the works.
“The children didn’t want to leave,” he added.
