Brother and sister's Channel swim for diabetes charity
Tamsin Dunn, 11, and younger brother Nathan, aged nine, have swam the combined distance of crossing the English Channel (22 miles) to raise more than £200 for Diabetes UK.
They did 1,416 lengths of the RAF Cranwell pool over five-weeks, making twice-weekly visits to complete it for the charity. They raised £500 doing the same thing last year. Tamsin, a pupil at Kesteven and Sleaford High School, said: “Our grandfather has Type 2 Diabetes and one of our cousins, Jack, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 16.”
