Green fingered pupils at Anston school
A ground force day had been organised for key stage one pupils at Anston Hillcrest Primary to introduce them to learning outdoors.
They took part in a whole host of activities with the help of parents and teachers to help transform the outside area of the school.

Hide AdActivities included making bird boxes, planting bulbs, making a hibernation station and creating a greenhouse.
“We wanted to introduce the children to learning outdoors and looking after the local environment,” said class one teacher Joanne Forbes.
“We transformed the outside learning environment for the school so we can use it more for lessons. That is something the school is very much into developing.”
“We had a carousel of activities so children got to take part in about six activities during the day.”
