Around 30 volunteers donned hi-vis vests, grabbed their bin bags and set to work - despite freezing temperatures.
“The litter picks have been going for about a year now. They really make a difference in terms of Hemswell’s appearance and community pride,” said Chris Cooper, chairman of Hemswell Cliff Residents Association.

Hide AdPeople of all ages came out in force - with the promise of a bacon butty at the end.
A huge mound of rubbish was collected by the troops, and taken away by West Lindsey District Council’s Street Force department - who also provide all the equipment.
Some of the children made a special discovery of a tin filled with copper coins worth £7.
