Heritage talk will remember Gainsborough heroes of World War I
Gainsborough Heritage Centre is hosting a talk at Gainsborough House on the role of local men, during the prominent battles of 1916 in World War One.
The talk will be given by Peter Bradshaw, on the anniversaries of two of the major battles in the conflict, the Battles of Jutland and the Somme.
Stories will focus on men such as brothers Walter and Albert Snow from Ropery Road who were both killed at Jutland and Percy Alvy from Spital Terrace, killed on the first day of the Somme.
