Anne’s knitted mascots bring a smile for key workers
Anne White has been knitting these cute characters since lockdown began, creating unique ‘made to order’ mascots on request via social media, for those wishing to give a special gift to nurses, carers, fire fighters, vets and London Nightingale Hospital staff.
Lucky recipients include two postmen from Louth and Mablethorpe, a fireman in Skegness, several nurses at Lincoln County Hospital, medical staff members dealing with Covid-19 patients in Grimsby, and pharmacists based at Boston Pilgrim Hospital.

Hide AdAnne’s daughter, Sharon, told the Leader: “It’s kept her sane, as although we are lucky and safe in Lincolnshire, mum has got a little lonely, with all her local clubs stopped.”
Sharon added that the knitting mascot hobby has kept her mother ‘busy and happy’.
