Musical ‘thank you’ to the NHS
Elaine Huckle, of Great Hale, recorded an album of her favourite tracks, called Songs For Everyone, in aid of the United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust and the music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins.
She said she would not be performing today if it had not been for the support she received from the NHS when she battled cancer 20 years ago.

Her donation has paid for handheld crosses to bring comfort to patients, but also helped fund a bed for relatives staying overnight with poorly patients, and a specialist wheelchair which can also carry an oxygen cylinder.
Chaplain Barbara Hutchinson said: “We cannot thank Elaine enough for all of her support and generosity. It really is going to make a difference for our patients and their families.”
As a singer, Elaine has performed in concert with many international artists and also on TV’s Top of The Pops.

She said she hopes it will not only show her gratitude to the NHS, but also recognise the commitment of staff locally.
“I also like to think that the songs will bring hope and happiness to patients and their families,” she added.
