Longest serving councillor takes on Brigg mayoral role
Coun Eardley has served on the council for almost 30 years and believes her family has been in the area since 1602.
“I am very proud of Brigg and of the way it has developed,” she said. “We have achieved many things; our projects have really made their mark in the town,”

Hide AdCoun Eardley is well known in the town having been a volunteer with St John Ambulance for 46 years, taken a special interest in the Donkey Play Group, been part of the production team for Brigg Matters and involved with schemes for summer planting for Brigg in Bloom. The public seats were full to capacity to celebrate her election.
”Your support for me means a lot. Brigg is on a high, let’s keep it there,” added Coun Eardley.
Father Owain Mitchell will continue as the Mayor’s Chaplain and this year’s charity appeal will be shared between Brigg Lives, the Royal Artillery Association and the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance.
