Rother Valley: Record-breaking fundraiser secures £180,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society
Fundraisers of all ages flocked to the South Yorkshire beauty spot for the biggest ever Alzheimer’s Society Sheffield Memory Walk.
The record-breaking 2,500 people who took part were hoping to walk their way to raising more than £180,000 for the charity.

Hide AdThis year’s Memory Walk was opened by the charity’s ambassador and Sheffield-born TV star Richard McCourt – who said the cause was one very close to his heart.
The Dick and Dom in Da Bungalow presenter told The Star: “I lost my mum to early onset dementia, which is why I’m an ambassador for the charity.
“It’s been a massive moment for me to see so many people wanting to help and support the Alzheimer’s Society.”
