Running for pudding
But not Gainsborough and Morton Striders’ Jerome McCulla, Steven Gaffney or new vice-chair Glenn Peniston who sought out a special event last weekend.

Hide AdIts slightly undulating course with very few turns make it ideal for people aiming to set a personal best.
But, more importantly, each finisher in the race traditionally receives a Christmas pudding for their efforts!
In less than ideal conditions, McCulla ran strongly, finishing 41st of 1,700 competitors (36-56), with Gaffney (81st) and Peniston (725th) both achieving new PBs of 38-46 and 51-05, respectively.
Striders’ training runs take place every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, including a ladies–only session.
