South Yorkshire: Letwell country fayre returns
Thurcroft Brass Band head an attractive programme which will get underway at 1.30 pm on the historic main street of the small village.
The traditional flavour of the country fayre is going to remain largely intact with a coconut shy, pot smashing, splat the rat and snail racing plus Maypole dancing from the children of Aston C of E Junior School and pony and trap rides too.

Vintage buses from the South Yorkshire Transport Museum will be on display alongside an array of historical and modern farming machinery.
There will also be various stalls on the day with traditional village produce and home made teas being sold throughout the afternoon.
The organising committee say the event will go ahead whatever the weather to continue more than 60 years of tradition.
