Tony Mee is elected new town mayor of Mablethorpe and Sutton
Mayor Mee was presented with the chains of office at the annual town meeting that was held on Monday evening (May 15).
Despite only becoming a town councillor two years ago, his fellow peers were full of praise for the way he’s thrust himself into representing the needs of the community and he was unanimously voted in as mayor for 2017/18.

“I’m really excited to have been chosen to be the mayor and it will be an honour to serve the community for the next year,” Coun Mee said.
He feels that this a great community to be around in and that both Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea had come a long way over the last few years.
Coun Mee added that he really enjoys being part of this council as politics are always left at the door and everyone really pitches in to put the needs of the community first.
