FOOTBALL: New management duo to take over at Horncastle Town
Having built a strong side and pushed so close for the title last season, the club said both have decided it is now time to hand over the reins.
As a result, the club at the weekend also announced that current senior players Andrew Shinn and Michael Stones have been appointed as the first team management pair for next season.

Both formerly played at Boston United and Sleaford Town, with Shinn also having a spell at Skegness Town.
They will be assisted on the coaching side by fellow current senior players Nathan Rawdon and Steve Lovett, which should make for a strong team.
In a statement on the club’s website, chairman Colin Low said: “The club feel this is an excellent appointment, bringing forward two ‘club’ men with a wealth of playing experience.

The club also said they were are delighted that both Paul and Dale will remain as directors of the club and continue their other essential background roles.
Paul will remain as welfare officer and look after the club’s Charter Standard, as well as being on hand to assist the new management whenever needed. Dale will continue as fixture secretary, assisting the management with team administration and providing his invaluable general all round support.
Mr Low said: “The club are obviously hugely grateful to Paul and Dale for all their hard work in their management roles, particularly over so many seasons.
