Craig Elliott has mixed emotions about his Boston United departures.
A number of last season’s squad have linked up with new sides following the end of the 2019-20 campaign.

Hide AdAnd while some leave with the manager’s thanks, others will act as a reminder that financially Boston will still struggle to compete with a number of National League North rivals.
“Some go with our best wishes, they’ve wanted to play football and they’ve been great servants,” Elliott said.
“I’m not letting them waste another season and not play as many games as they want to, there was always a general agreement and acknowledgement a few of those players would move on.
“A couple of others, as we know at this level, money talks and there was certain things we could never live with in terms of offers.
“That happens and you have to move on.”
Frank Mulhern, George Willis, Jonathan Wafula, Alex Whittle, Ashley Jackson, Simon Ainge, Martyn Woolford, Ben Middleton and Matt Challoner have left United this summer.
