RACELINE: Tip of the day 6th February
Wednesday 6th February
EDUARD
Carlisle 1.50 WIN
Nicky Richards’s five-year-old must give weight away to most of the field, but he should still have too much class for his opponents. Related to 2003 Grand National winner Monty’s Pass, he is the stable’s best novice hurdler and persuaded trainer Richards to make a rare foray down south from his Cumbrian base last month to tackle some of the best at Cheltenham. The gelding was beaten into third, but was far from disgraced, conceding 6lbs. Victory today would tempt connections to return to Prestbury Park -- this time for the Festival next month.
YESTERDAY: LIBERTY COURT NON-RUNNER
