TAE KWON-DO: Town club members impress at county championships
Mother Frances Arnold and 15-year-old daughter Rose won four between them in disciplines including patterns, sparring and the spectacular flying kicks.
Father Phil Lee and mother Lisa Jackman won four, including one gold and three silver, and their children Charlotte (10), Delicia (9), and India (7) carried away a further seven between them, in sparring, patterns, flying kicks, speed kicking and team patterns.

Hide AdAnna Wilkinson won bronze in the ladies’ yellow belt sparring and Joe McKenna (11) carried home a silver in the boys’ green belt flying kicks.
There was also success for several from the club’s Tigers class, with boys and girls as young as five years competing in a special separate discipline and bringing home five medals for the club.
All the members train at the town club, under the guidance of sixth degree black-belt Jill Pearce, which meets every Tuesday and Thursday at Carre’s Grammar School and Northgate Sports Hall.
