More acts confirmed for VE75 Festival in Skegness
Gates will open at the new East Coast Showground for the VE75 Festival on May 8, 2020 - a three-day family event celebrating the 75th Anniversary of victory of the Allies in Europe in the Second World War. .
The weekend includes flypasts, live big bands - including the legendary Glenn Miller Orchestra UK - military reenactments, vintage military and civilian vehicles, scooters, motorcycles and stalls.

Hide AdThe spotlight on the showground’s stages will shine on The Dream Belles, who will take visitors back in time with music from the likes of Vera Lynn, The Andrews Sisters and Gracie Fields.
Also appearing is Kirsten Orsborn, an acclaimed Welsh singer and Forces sweetheart for the Royal Marines. She has performed at military bases across the UK continuing to support our troops all over the world with her music.
Captain Kenny Sinclair will play the wartime sing-a-long tunes many will remember.
There will also be plenty of opportunities to get involved in the event with the Lincolnshire Lindy Hop Club and DJ Dr Swing. They are set to bring a whole host of dance classes, workshops and performances throughout the entire weekend, which also includes a retro festival.

Hide AdOther attractions over the weekend include a vintage fun fair, a vintage mobile cinema, a gift and craft marquee and food hall.
For families wishing to make the most of the weekend, there is camping facilities on site.

Hide AdThe launch of the new showground in Skegness at the VE75 Festival is the ambition of Skegness Grosvenor Hotel owner Russ Sparkes.
East Lindsey District Council gave approval for change of use of the 16-acre site on Burgh Road in September last year.
Next to the showground, there are also plans for a two-and-a-half acre campsite to support the events, with car parking for more than 850 vehicles.
Commenting on the new venture, he said: "We are delighted to announce further details about our launch event, the VE75 Festival - especially as it commemorates such an important time in history.
